Neil Young's former Topanga redwood adobe is up for grabs. For decades, Topanga Canyon was a pillar of Southern California rock bohemia and a place musicians would retreat to. "Morning on the deck began with coffee overlooking the canyon, watching everything start to move below as the day unfolded," Young recalled in his 2012 autobiography Waging Heavy Peace. "The scene in there was always stimulating, full of the colors of the canyon, with the artists and other local characters, rug dealers and beautiful hippie girls" All of which inspired Neil to enclose the area under the house to create a custom built recording studio where he recorded Topanga 1 (1968-69). Later Bernie Leadon of the Eagles owned it and lived here with Patti Davis. As Patti said in her book, "There are so many windows in this house, it's like living outside." The 3 story home has wood & glass architecture with 3 beds, 2 baths, 2-room studio, broad decks, a romantic hide-away!
